Martin Locke Homes is proud to be a leader in building accessible homes in North Queensland and now it is positioned to undertake more accessible projects after becoming a registered NDIS and SDA provider.
MLH has many years of experience in building accessible homes through our partnership with Cootharinga North Queensland including homes to the Platinum level of the Livable Housing Australia Guidelines and to stringent disability code requirements.
Now, as an NDIS provider, Martin Locke Homes is registered to undertake work within the NDIS for both home re-modelling and rectification as well as participate as a provider of Specialist Disability Accommodation.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing individualised support for people with disability, their families and carers including providing housing which suits their specific needs. More information is available here: https://www.ndis.gov.au/index.html
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) refers to accommodation for people who require specialist housing solutions, including to assist with the delivery of supports that cater for their extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. More information is available here: https://www.ndis.gov.au/specialist-disability-accommodation
MLH has taken our commitment to accessible building a step further and we design and build every new home to meet at least the Silver Level of the Livable Housing Australia Guidelines.
